Making the future of email security and deliverability easy

After many decades of email usage this basic channel is still the most widely used written communication channel globally with around 300 billion emails sent every day. Due to this wide spread use its also the most vulnerable channel and according to Verizon 93% of successful attacks worldwide started from email security issues. In fact, email has always been fundamentally insecure. The biggest challenge is not to make email perfectly secure, but to make the adoption of the best security standards easy and seamless — accelerating the secure and efficient use to this mainstream channel.

EasyDMARC is a B2B SaaS solution that allows to solve email security and deliverability in just a few clicks. It doesn’t matter what service organization is used to send or receive emails — its and integrated cloud solution without access to confidential data. The DMARC protocol is one of the fastest growing and most promising protocols in the space and the market is growing at 180% per year with EasyDMARC growing more than twice as fast. Already 25000+ domains globally protected their email ecosystem with EasyDMARC.

Building a successful technical platform like this depends heavily on the ability to attract and getting the most out of top talent. The two main founders excel at both. Founded by Gerasim Hovhannisyan and Avag Arakelyan from Armenia, HQ Yerevan, they are building a presence in the Netherlands and the US. Previously both founders worked together at Picsart where they developed the backend infrastructure and led large engineering teams. Its this rare combination of very strong technical founders with extensive experience of building and leading large teams that convinced us. At seed stage they managed to grow the company to 30+ employees whilst being extremely resource efficient.

The real opportunity goes way beyond pure email security however. There is a strong correlation between email deliverability and sales. A 10% improvement in email deliverability can typically result in 15% more sales and therefore this is highly relevant for marketeers as well. Email marketing has always been one of the most affordable and effective online-marketing strategies, being a key driver for revenue and allowing companies to maintain a strong relationship with their user base. In fact, according Hubspot, email generates $42 for every $1 spent, which is an astounding 4,200% ROI, making it one of the most effective options available.

There is also a strong regulatory push from governments and recognition from industry about importance of enforcing email security standards. Obviously the impact for companies (and governments) can be significant. Damages are not only caused by the lack of implementation, but also by misconfigurations leading to data breaches, financial losses, etc. Security risks that are increasingly problematic and hence will be less and less tolerated by regulatory entities.

Whilst the future of email security needs to be increasingly smarter, it primarily needs to be significantly easier so mass adoption accelerates. Too many companies still struggle to effectively implement new security standards slowing down the overall progress. At the end, any system is only as secure as its weakest link.
