Across: Ape Into Arbitrum Campaign Recap Part Two

From February 6th — March 7th we held our “Ape In to Arbitrum” campaign, to help Across users DYOR before trying out some of the great opportunities native to the L2. Every week we looked at some of Arbitrum’s hidden gems and heavy hitters, had giveaways, games and even held our first Galxe campaign, which you can catch the tail end of here.
Overall, the Ape Into Arbitrum campaign is a testament to Across’ dedication to building the best cross-chain bridge for Ethereum and providing users with unbeatable security, speeds and prices, while always keeping our focus on our community. Here is a recap of the projects we’ve met with during the second half of our campaign.
The Beacon
The Beacon is a free-to-play fantasy action roguelite RPG, featuring dynamic dungeons, real-time combat, and a blend of single-player, co-op, and MMO-like social experiences. With each playthrough, players will encounter unique dungeons, battle monsters, and enhance their skills and fighting styles. The game, accessible on desktop and in-browser, incorporates NFT technology for persistent in-game assets.
Key gameplay elements include Dungeon Expeditions, where players navigate new levels, defeat enemies, and choose from three exits with loot rewards; Tavern Quizzes, where players can earn loot by answering questions related to the game’s world; and House Customization, which allows players to personalize and decorate their in-game homes with items acquired through gameplay.

Rocket Monsters
Rocket Monsters is an innovative Play and Own Web3 game, developed using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5. Set in a diverse universe filled with unique characters, weapons, and vehicles, all represented as playable NFTs, the game offers endless opportunities for player engagement. Players can participate in both PVP and PVE battles across numerous environments, immersing themselves in a rich and meaningful gameplay experience. Decent
Decent is the premier all-in-one Web3 portal for creators and developers to build on mainnet and L2s. We have a multi-chain protocol, SDK, APIs, and beautifully simple no-code creation and management application complete with unique NFT contracts and mechanisms.

Y2K Finance offers structured products for exotic peg derivatives, enabling market participants to hedge or speculate on pegged assets deviating from their ‘fair implied market value.’ The suite includes Earthquake and Wildfire products, with high-quality vault strikes based on research and probability models.
The platform aims to provide an efficient environment for users to interact with vaults, profit from market mispricing of depeg events, and utilize tools like automated vault strategies and epoch roll-overs. Y2K Finance focuses on delivering suitable strike prices and APR based on mathematical probabilities, rather than the team’s opinions.

Dolomite

Buffer Finance
Buffer Finance is a gamified options trading protocol that enables buying options directly from a liquidity pool. As a non-custodial on-chain solution, it operates like an Automated Market Maker, allowing creation and settlement of options without a counterparty, making options trading more accessible.
Capital efficiency is achieved using $iBFR tokens, enabling experimentation with risk hedging strategies. As mechanics improve, the protocol will transition to a stablecoin-based liquidity pool. Buffer V2 simplifies user experience with exotic options for specific prices or ranges, and its customizable architecture supports use cases such as decentralized options vaults, DAO stock options, treasury management, and multi-leg options strategies minted as NFTs for OTC trading.

Contango
Contango is a decentralized expirables market that enables users to buy or sell assets at a set future price and date without order books or liquidity pools. The protocol borrows, swaps, and lends on fixed-rate and spot markets, offering minimal price impact for large trades.
Users can choose an instrument, side (long/short), expiry date, and leverage while avoiding unpredictable funding costs. Contango leverages deep liquidity pools and tokenizes each position as an NFT for DeFi composability. At expiry, traders can opt for physical delivery or cash settlement.
