It’s the age-old marketers challenge; you must know your customer to have an effective conversation. If you don’t, then you’re shouting at your audience with a bull horn instead of conversing with them in a more personalized setting. Up until recently, leading brands have segmented their customers for targeted messaging. You might be familiar with some broad brushes, like:

· NASCAR dads
· Millenials

· Vegetarians
