It’s about a young man who works in a bookstore, falls in love with a student who wants to be a writer. And he’s just all about her, hence the title YOU. And as you know, in life you have obstacles, and Joe (the bookstore guy) isn’t a fan, so gets rid of them.
That’s basically all I can say from where I have gotten in the series so far! Scroll down for my reactions on each episode.
The series includes Shay Mitchell from Pretty Little Liars, Penn Badgley from Gossip Girl and Elizabeth Lail from Once Upon A Time. Pilot: CURTAINS???? ARE THEY A THING??? IN NEW YORK??? Omg no, nonononononono my anxiety is through the ROOF SAVE HER JOE!! That man needs to chill out. OH MY GOSH JOE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE LOL.
The Last Nice Guy in New York: Joe mate, you need to chill out and stop watching her, but it shocks me how she doesn’t even catch a glimpse of him??!! Nah but what if he wrecks the books? You chose the wrong hiding spot for a kidnapping, my friend. OMG PACO! nO! Oh Joe, what did I say, wrong location man. OMG WOW. I did NOT see that coming.
Maybe: As if he’s got a young boy to buy his tools to dispose of a body lol well done. Okay smart, but this is wrong Joe, WRONG. Ahhh, okay, nice one Joe, quick thinking. Oh, and again Joseph. King of thinking on his feet.
The Captain: BECK WHO ARE YOU??? Oh my god. Ohhh, okay. Makes sense now, kinda. OMG OMG OMG HE’S GOING TO GET FOUND OUT… Joe, you’ve done it again, what a mastermind. Her dad seems nice, not a huge fan or her step-mom though.
Living with the Enemy: It’s so obvious, it has to be Peach. Wow, Peach is really getting on my nerves now, how low can you get? Also, how did Beck not see her diary????? He should have worn gloves and have done a whole risk assessment on this (same with Benji). Bad luck man, what are you going to do now lol
Amour Fou: LMAO BENJI I FORGOT. Joe mate, your fingerprints are all over it! My anxiety levels are through the roof watching him jump around the house. YES BECK YOU GO GIRL!! Omg, the inner Emily Fields is really coming out in Peach today!! OMG. IT IS IT PEACH? Can’t be Joe. There are four more episodes. WAIT….. Sneaky little Joe. OMG, WHAT ABOUT HIS PEE?
Everythingship: why does ‘everythingship’ sound like an all-in-one package holiday on a cruise line through the Mediterranean sea.Oooo beef. RONALDO? Omg, they’re having a romantic meal when Benji died oh my. Is Dr Nicky not connecting the dots? Lol, now he might!! OMG DONT HURT YOU HAND??! Oh.. okay well done Joe. Character development here. OMG NO I THINK BECK WILL END UP DEAD?!
You Got Me, Babe: I think Dr Nicky will end up wanting Joe. Omg ahahahha, he needs to stop being, now, semi-obsessive. Blithe and Ethan are the only real couple here. This is so weird how it’s all worked out. PSA: the person on Medium who called her overrated wasn’t me. OMG. Not that room again. Well, character development. At least he understands what he’s done. They did it on the ex-everthingship! I’ve literally got my whole head in my palms right now… It’s all happening again but I don’t know whether to be happy or nervous.
Candance: Why was his face burnt? But also, how does Beck sleep with dangly earrings? I could never. Oh??? I thought Candance was dead? The whole Candance scene has just thrown me, why did he just make a new book but keep the front page? This episode is wow. Omg. At least burning that page is a step forward for Joe, well done!! He didn’t kill! This is crazy how am I feeling so sorry for Joe and being mad at Beck when Joe is the liar and was the stalker, to begin with?! BENJI’S PHONE! IM SCARED. WHAT’S IN THE BOX? OH MY… he’s been rumbled. Oh gosh, the box.
Bluebird’s Castle: This isn’t the episode to be laughing but when it was the morning and Joe said “good morning” whilst putting a blanket over Beck and she screamed, got me. I really hope he doesn’t poison Beck. I don’t trust her. THE RETURN OF THE PEE! PACO!??! I have lost all hope in Joe and his ways now. I have a feeling now that Beck is going to kill Joe but then again, there’s meant to be a season 2 so… idk. OMG. AHAHAHHA I KNEW IT!! omg woah. You know who needs to be on the case of Joe the stalker? Shane Dawson. Oh my… well, I guess we all knew it was coming. Goodbye Beck. But, hello Candance!
Overall: It’s a really good series. A 10/10. It’s not predictable at all. It also keeps you guessing. It was weird how Joe just wanted to take care of Beck and how he did such awful things but somehow, we feel sorry for him. How he In some series or movies even, the ending seems rushed. Also, they still had NO curtains throughout!!
