Cadbury — Mum’s Birthday TV Advert — 2018

This Cadbury advert is an absolutely touching storytelling, that describes the true and pure mother-daughter love ❤.

A little girl is waiting for her mum to take her from school. While waiting, she thinks that it’s her mum’s birthday and she’s got to take her a special gift. After a long and difficult day at work, her mummy finally arrives at the school-door to pick up her little lady.

While walking home, the mother’s cell rings. She has to answer, so they take a rest of their walking, outside of a corner shop. The young girl gets in, asking for a chocolate for her mum. The employee of the mini market suggests her a ‘’Dairy Milk’’ Cadbury chocolate. When it comes to paying, the girl gives all she has. A coin, 2 buttons, a pink ring and her beloved mini unicorn. This kid actually gave her stuff in return for a chocolate for her mum! The employee didn’t just thought ‘’oh, she’s a poor girl, let her have it for free’’, but he made her felt like she earned it for her mummy, by giving her back the mini unicorn as her change.

Then, the young girl goes back to her mum to give her the special birthday gift she’s got. What a touching moment and what an amazing storytelling by Cadbury! Let’s celebrate the little acts of kindness that happen everyday, just because. There’s a glass and a half in everyone!
