#Coca- Calling!

In the framework of applied marketing lab, we visited the Coca Cola Hellas headquarters and we were left with the best of impressions. We were always curious about the way huge companies work and we were really glad we had the chance to get a glimpse of the company’s function.

To commence with, entering the building we were taken aback by the multicultural environment, as we encountered employees of different nationalities cooperating towards the same purpose. Moreover, we were shown around the company’s offices. We were fascinated by the vivid atmosphere that the decoration promoted, as colors, furniture and other representative items of the brand inspire creativity. As a result, it surely feels nothing like the typical model of a multinational corporation.

During the presentation that the managers of Coca Cola had prepared for us we were informed about the history of the company and the mission of some marketing fields. We realized that anyone can actually communicate directly with associates of the company through the social media. For example, with just a post anyone can comment, complain or participate in the competitions of the brand that take place on the internet. We were also surprised by the idea that the marketing department takes advantage of the breaking news in a unique way, so that the brand can always be in the spotlight. For instance, when Instagram polls came up Coca Cola created one about Fanta, so it could raise employees’ knowledge about the preferences of consumers. Of course, positive feedback was instantly gained from the users.

Last but not least, we are thankful for the company’s hospitality, which was evident in the gifts and the products that were offered to us. We also appreciate the friendly approach of the hosts, who completely informed us about the details of their positions and answered our questions.

Thank you Mrs Diana Birba for the experience!!
