Dear Readers,
Starting the semester we would have never imagined that we would be engaged into something so interactive and productive.
The Ad & Pr Lab helped us evolve our collaborative skills and learned us how to work and be a part of a team. Even though it was hard to adapt at the begging, we finally managed to go with the flow and follow the procedure as we should.
Throughout, the courses that were performed by our highly educated professors, the lectures that were given from well-known people of the advertising and marketing domain and the projects that were assigned to us, eventually made us realise what is going on in the real business world.
We collaborated under pressure and we learned how to express our opinions and thoughts, without forgetting to listen and respect our colleagues’ point of view. We also got familiar with the theoretical and practical skills that we were taught, which finally helped us improve ourselves, be able to successfully conduct experimental case studies.
At the same time, we learned how to use some digital tools that will be utterly useful for our future career.
Firstly, we were taught how to build from scratch a website by using Wordpress. After listening to our professor’s useful instructions and after seeing them being used in class, our team met up and created a website for our innovative brand ‘’SnoozEat’’.
Moreover, we worked on designing posters for social media by using Piktochart and creating videos with the application Kinemaster. Our professor in class was adept at explaining us what tools and how we should use them in order to compile memorable and outstanding projects.
Last but not least, we were explained how to establish an innovative application according to the Proto.io instructions. Having the opportunity to understand from scratch the utility of this site (so as to create our own app with our own design) we were very attentive and eager to listen our guest’s speech.
Furthermore, one of the most interesting parts of Ad & Pr Lab was to get in touch with user’s experience on the internet and the use of design thinking process. Being informed on what people expect from a website’s design and usefulness, made us realise the importance of building an amazing and fun experience in websites. Whereas, we noticed that design thinking provides one to establish an innovative approach in order to solve problems. It is a way of thinking and working by trying out innovative concepts and ideas!
All these combined gave us a sense of today’s market and triggered us to explore further the marketing and advertising field. It made us feel competed by enhancing our skills and personality.
