Delta | Behind every effort…
Delta, one of the most known milk companies in Greece, launched a series of campaigns focused on young generation’s achievements and their relationship with their mothers. The linking point to each spot is a glass of milk, which actually depicts the nurturing and affectionate figure of each and every one’s mother.
One of the campaigns is the real story of 4 quadruplets sisters, from a city in Peloponnese and their exertion to get into the University. In the spots we can see their anxiety and nervousness as they try to succeed in finals but there comes their mother, their “hero” as they call her, that tranquilizes them by offering them some milk and by telling that what matters the most is to try and not to succeed.
As the spot goes by we see the 4 girls returning home disappointed because they believe that they failed in their finals but their mother keeps saying that what matters the most is to try and not to succeed. At the end the spot we can see the girls moving to their new house as they all got accepted in the University of their choice in Athens.
The other campaign is focused on the gold medalist and the most successful greek athlete in Gymnastics, the past 6 years, Lefteris Petrounias. In this campaign we see Lefteris’ mum reminiscing memories of her son’s childhood and first achievements in Gymnastics.We also see how she still encourages and helps him stay calm and focused even if she is not physically by his side. She also reminds him that at the end of the day it is not always about winning but sometimes what really matters is the effort you put into something.
Later it is shown how no matter how many times Lefteris has won the first place and is considered one of the best athletes in Gymnastics, his mother is always nervous and can’t even watch it through the TV but at the end he succeeds once again and his whole family celebrates together. On the last scene we see Lefteris coming back to his home to see his mother and gives her his gold medal because after all she is the one who deserves the gold medal like every mother.
Delta, by using the motto “Behind every effort, there is a mother that caresses you with a glass full of love” moves the viewers as they can easily see themselves in the same stories. Milk plays a really important role in our lives, especially when we are kids, just as like our mothers that we usually tend to correlate them with it. That’s the reason that this campaign is one of the most touching and successful right now.
