DIOR / ‘’WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR LOVE?”

Natalie Portman is the face of Christian Dior’s fragrance , under the influence of the first female in the role, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the house celebrates women and femininity.

“Dior has always been showcasing the different sides of women. While the perfume has sweet, soft, and loving notes, it also has deep, earthy undertones that represent the different facets of the modern woman. Women can be both elegant and strong.”

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, Dior is launching a new campaign alongside the face of the perfume, Natalie Portman.

Dubbed #DiorLoveChain, the project asks in turn, “And You, What Would You Do For Love?”

For each Instagram post that makes use of the hashtag, $1 USD will be donated to We Movement, a charity dedicated to providing education, food, clean water, healthcare and economic opportunity to those who do not have access.

Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman and More Stars Reveal What They’d Do for Love in Dior’s Charitable Campaign

The charitable initiative has each person respond to the question, “and you, what would you do for love?” Dior compiled the celebrity responses into a YouTube video and is encouraging the rest of us to post our own video answers to the thought-provoking question using the hashtag #diorlovechain. Then, Dior asks that we nominate friends and family to answer the same question.

For each #diorlovechain post, one $1 will be donated to the WE Charity . Specifically, the donations will benefit the WE Schools program, a charity backed by Portman, which helps educate young girls in Kenya.

  • In the video opener, the Portman begins by asking the question, “and you, what would you do for love?” And her own responce was “For love, I would travel to the end of the earth.”
  • The first response, comes from Pattinson, who says, “I think I would try to make myself a better person.”
  • Bella Hadid also took part in the initiative. “I would do anything for love,” the 20-year-old model says.
  • “I would do anything my mom asks,” says model Winnie Harlowe. “I love my mom.”

This question is not rhetorical, because the video has the purpose of finding the answer to it. This is a video for themselves, to say and prove what will they do for love, where are their limits. The charity of the campaign of this new fragrance is very known and popular for its purpose. The scent was launched in 1947 by Christian Dior himself and the main instructions for it was to create a fragrance that is like love. This new scent has been refreshed with citrus and something more spicy. Chic, practical, with a feminine side, the new Miss Dior is the fragrance of the year.

GREEK PARTICIPATION

Public figure and Survivor winner of 2017 George Aggelopoulos participates in We Movement's "love chain".

In a statement, Dior said: "There is no cooperation with Dior Parfums and Dior in general. Mr. Angelopoulos as well as hundreds of thousands of others all over the world participate in the love chain which is open to everyone and whose income supports the work of the charitable organization Wemovement. "

"It's a decision after thinking, I'm breaking down and doing everything for love. And you? What would you do for love? ". With these words, George Angelopoulos gave the "present" to Dior's international campaign for charity.

The previous adverts of Dior, were a little bit different. Especially, Charlize Theron is the protagonist in adverts for “ J’Adore Dior fragrance “. In these adverts, Charlize is a beautiful, classy and strong woman with sensation, when she is promoting her fragrance by walking in the water, climbing with a silk rope to the roof, proving that she can make the difference with this parfume. Charlize Theron in the previous adverts is wearing silk dresses, jewellery, and high hells, giving a new era to the advertisement and promoting the idea that you can do everything you want, by wearing this fragrance.
