Erasmus Fun Guide

Our challenge

Our challenge for this semester’s lab “Digital Creativity Lab, Code, Apps, Games” was to create our own website using the Wordpress. The theme has to be of international interest and the content interesting and as innovative as possible.

Our team came up with a very fresh and useful idea! We decided to create a site called “Erasmus Fun Guide” or “EFG” which is a site created by Erasmus students for Erasmus students who don’t know where to eat, study or have fun in the country of their choice.

From our presentation at ADandPR Lab

If you are or going to live the Erasmus experience, a visit in our site gives you the opportunity to read interesting articles about unique, cozy and popular must-visit places but also provides you with useful information about living in each country.

We believe that nothing in this world can make us feel more alive but a new experience. The greater adventure is the one you spend with new friends in a new country.

Our site and our team is here to help the users find out more about the country they chose and have as much fun as they can thanks to our suggestions.

The site

First of all our goal was to make the site user friendly but also interested!

The home page is simple, the logo is up and right while the menu is on the left. In the middle of the site we have the title “Erasmus Fun Guide” and the question “Where are you traveling this semester?” in order to have an interaction with the user and state clearly the sites’ theme. The name of the site is simple so the user can easily search it. The pictures we used at the home page are not vivid or tiring for the eye but they create the atmosphere of a travel. We did gave attention to the aesthetic of the site. We chose carefully not only the colors but also the site’s design, the photographs and the videos. All the photographs we chose are characteristic photographs of each country.

The main colors of the site through our photos are Blue (which stands for faith, peace, harmony), Purple ( power), Green ( nature, hope, freshness), white (clarity, perfection, purity) and black (elegance).

We have added navigation buttons to help your experience on our website as much as possible. By scrolling down you will see a searching bar where you can search directly your destination.

All of our pages are running perfectly and there is no video, image or website that the navigator can not watch or visit.

The user can easily detect where the other pages are (Destinations, About us, Blog, Contact) in order to stay in our page and continue his navigation. In every page there is a connection with the homepage as we have the menu bar in every page.

In conclusion through this semester we learn how to build our own website more professionally in order to have a successful result not only inside the lab but also outside of it.

Thank you very much for the experience!
