The ADventurous

During the course of the AD & PR Lab: Digital and Mobile Marketing, we were asked to create an innovation brand and present it to a team of experts for evaluation. We were brainstorming and found a lot of suggestions. Finally, we ended up to the suggestion which we are going to explain at this article. The main reason of this choice is because we are university students and we want an app/website like this to make our everyday life easier. So, we had the idea of designing an application that would make a big difference in everyone’s daily lives. We named our App << Checkαρε το >> and our slogan is << Έκανες check; Βρήκες αυτό που θες! >>, << You check? You find what you wanted ! >> . The places where app is available are desktops, tablets, smartphones via iOs and Android. Users have the chance to download our app from App Store and Play Store. Moreover, we created a website of our idea, because some users find browsing easier than using an application.

To return to our main topic, this app would meet people’s supermarket and grocery-shopping needs. We considered that this would be a big step towards making potential clients’ lives more convenient. Also, we took into consideration that there’s a lack of such projects in the market.

The first move to completing this goal we had in mind was to create a questionnaire and find out if the public is interested in an app that would offer services like ours. We decided to ask people, apart from their gender, age and status, the frequency of going to supermarket, the criteria of choosing a supermarket. Also, we asked them if they are informed of offers and what kind of products (vegan, environmentally friendly, well-being ) prefer to purchase. The results were affirmative, and we got straight to work. We proceeded with further research on our competitors and discovered Pockee. After carefully looking through Pockee’s design, offers and operating system, we tried to differentiate ourselves, offer more services and include the well-being trend of the latest years with vegan and organic products and specific discounts. Our main target group is people who follow a healthy or vegan lifestyle, parents, university students, employees, pensioners.

Specifically, we created an online supermarket, where people can shop from a wide variety of products. A positioning of Checκαρε το, is that it collaborates with smaller supermarkets such as OK, Bazaar and Bio markets. About our collaboration with Bio markets, we believe that it is our biggest advantage, because at this part we haven’t got a competitor. So, we think that well-being products is the trend nowadays and as a result we can attract a lot of consumers.

Furthermore, we give customers the ability of free and quickly delivery. About the cost of delivery, for purchases over 25 € is free and under 25 € delivery costs 2 €. In addition, we choose to give customers a lot of alternatives of paying. So, we accept cash, card and Paypal as available ways of paying. However, we must note that the delivery option isn’t obligatory. Users can choose to browse through our products and visit the supermarket to complete their purchases. Our app would also offer this type of customers our specific deals (which we offer to all customers).

What makes our app unique is the customizable profiles that our customers can create based on their own needs and preferences. More specifically, when they visit our app for first time, they will have to answer a questionnaire related to their personal consuming habits. Our plan for this application is that, based on the personality of each user, we suggest or combine other products with their purchases. The profiles we mentioned above were created with information which the users gave out themselves, such as their gender, age, home address (for delivery), family and job status and, most importantly, their purchasing habits. For example, we have concurrent offers on spaghetti and beers specifically for university students. We don’t neglect to keep you updated about our deals, but we won’t bother you with unnecessary notifications on the app or your email, for items that don’t concern you, if you don’t ask us to.

After all these steps, we wanted to create an Advertisement to promote our App.

Our script is: A young vegan man, after an exhausting day wants to eat sweet. He opens the fridge, which is full of vegan products and he is disappointed. After that, he scrolls instagram stories and a lot of his friends have uploaded photos of sweets. He decides to deliver and commits the sin of eating unhealthily. Then, his angel and devil appear in front of his eyes. His devil turns on the radio volume and the song which plays is << Αμάρτησε μαζί μου >>, << Sin with me >>. The man decides to commit this sin so. But, his angel sings in a whisper << You are vegan, you are vegan, hallelujah >>. Suddenly, his smartphone has a notification.
