Last Monday (April 30th) we practiced two methodologies in the class , speed dating methodology for startups and world cafe methodology . I mainly was the one from my team that I was pitching with my peers, one at a time from different groups .The speed dating was an interesting experience .I will explain in a few lines how it works . Each team chooses one member to be the one that is going to pitch and all the “pitchers” are formed into couples and after each round the couples change and new ones come together. The role of the “pitcher” is to introduce his team startup.

Our startup TRISTEZapp (we are the power ad girls) is a platform that offers sessions with psychologists online via skype way cheaper than the usual session. Our vision is to give the opportunity to all the people to get the help they need in order to deal with their stress, anxiety and psychological problems overall.

The fast-dating pitching was something new to me and I found it really nice. The pitching part it seemed hard because you have only 3 minutes to present your startup to someone who has no idea about it but as I learned if you make your speech interesting it is easier to keep the other person listening to you.The responding to questions part was at first something that made me anxious but everything turned out well and I realized how crucial is to know really good your startup and all its details. By asking questions I learned that you have to listen carefully and think quickly in order to make clever questions and give smart tips to your peers in only a few minutes. As an observer, I realised how important is to talk fluently and I could understand better what the other teams pointed out to us .

In conclusion, it was an interesting and cool experience and I would do it again. My team and I will take into consideration all the suggestions that the other teams made us, such as to include a chat where the members can exchange opinions.
