“We are a full service agency: creative, production and media buying”.

During our sessions of Ad Discovery and Creativity Lab, we were asked to search and select one of the companies which participated in Ad Age Competition in 2018.

Ad Age is a leading global source of news, intelligence and conversation for marketing and media communities. This competition values and awards the best agencies of the year since 1974. It consists of 6 Ad Age judges who separate the truly great agencies.

At the same time in this project, we had to select and analyse an agency from the A- List, and my team and I chose the Laundry Service Agency.

A few words about A-List…

It is a list of the best advertising and marketing agencies and it values the very best that the industry has to offer.

The goal of Ad Age Competition 2018 is to bring out the women’s role and action in agencies via #metoo movement.

As a team, we chose the Laundry Service Agency, which is seventh in the rank of A-List.

“We are a full service agency: creative, production and media buying. We create meaningful connections between people and brands, adding value to consumers and helping businesses grow”, in this way the Team of Laundry Service Agency (Bea Iturregui, Robert Davis, Alyson Warshaw, Jason Stein, Jay Salim, Amy Hellickson and Mike Mikho) is introduced to its clients-to-be.

It was established in 2011, making mostly online videos. Since 2017, it is placed at Brooklyn’s neighbourhood at an old coffee warehouse, which is an open space with industrial elements and walls of glass.

As a new company, it had an initial vision which overcame the expectations of the agency even in the work place which ‘’touched’’ the 42.000 square foot since the day it started.

The company was promoted via social media (instagram, twitter, facebook), while it increased its corporate earnings.

After that, the agency was developed with tha aid of sport’s sponsorship and Wasserman’s corporation. During the Agency’s years of operation it has co-operated with big and famous companies such as LG, FootLocker, Sephora, Amazon, Tic Tac, Nike etc. These co-operations is one of the main reasons that led in Laundry Service Agency to success.

Particularly, the agency follows the ‘’through-the-line’’ strategy, which is an approach that is not suitable for every company. That’s why Laundry Service Agency lost some clients, but at the same time it won some others, such as the compancy which we mentioned above.

Now, with the aid of Cycle Media, Laundry Service Agency became from an internal influencer management division, to a full-scale media company and content studio.

Additionally, as Founder and CEO Jason Stein said: “It is not just a social media agency or digital agency anymore”.

In general, as a team we found Laundry Service Agency very interesting, mostly because it promotes social responsibility and respects its clients’ needs, and that’s why we selected it.
