“MAKE YOUR MARKeting!” X Novibet: GiANT Heart Campaign Season 2

Inspired by Novibet’s Giant Heart campaign with Giannis Antetokounmpo, we proceeded to implement three similar projects in order to actualise our various views. We picked three much esteemed athletes, whose beliefs and work ethic are consistent with our company’s principles, to participate in order to forward reflections of a healthy society.

In context of this ambition, we organised various events for people of every target group, such as school students-teachers, athletes etc. Through these events we had in our sights to shed light on this topic, to educate and mainly offer any kind of help we could to many victims.

GiANT Heart Campaign — SEASON 1

Ever since the beginning of our company’s development, Novibet’s actions always attracted our attention. So when we came across the Giant Heart x Giannis Antetokoumpo campaign, we felt inspired to take action as well. We decided that we should also stick to the athletic field, because sport has always brought together people all around the world, thus gaining the attention of the media. This way, we knew that a broader audience would be drawn to whichever aim we chose to bring to life.

So with that being settled, we examined athletes of every sport and the enormity of their platforms in order to choose those with the bigger influence. We decided that, for multiple reasons, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Sergio Araujo and Sophia Bekatorou were the best selections according to our goals and our work ethic. We immediately contacted them and they were all willing to cooperate with us to build a better future for the greek society.

Collaboration with Konstantinos Tsimikas

Starting with Konstantinos Tsimikas, our plan here was simply to spread out our social message over equality in the world of sports through our slogan: “BALL FOR ALL”. So along with Konstantinos, we did some actions in order to turn that vision into reality. For example, we sent him in primary schools in order to let the kids know about the greatness of football, we organised some friendly games for charity etc. Our most important action was the financing of some participations in football academies for kids with economic difficulties.

Collaboration with Sergio Araujo

Coming to Sergio Araujo, we also came in collaboration with him because of his action to pay tribute to Alkis Kabanos, a young fan of Aris FC, who was murdered in Thessaloniki by some PAOK FC hooligans. The action was taken when he scored a goal against Aris. Instead of cheering like crazy along with his teammates, he moved aside and signalled the letter “A” (from Alkis) to honour him. By doing this, it was just inevitable for us not to come in collaboration with him.

We wanted to spread out a message against violence in any kind of sports. Our vision was simply here too, as well. By no means, we can’t tolerate violence and through our slogan “NEVERMORE”, we’re willing to make violence be “no more” in our society.

With Araujo being a role-model for many teenagers, athletes or not, we optimised his influence and organised events, such as famous athletes visiting schools or school trips to sporting events and local fan clubhouses in order to educate them on anger management, healthy competition and the unfortunate implications of violence.

In addition, it should be mentioned that maybe the most important of our actions in association with Sergio Araujo is a TV spot-video ad, starring the football player with the slogan of our campaign.

Collaboration with Sophia Bekatorou

As for our partnership with the distinguished sailing champion, Sophia Bekatorou, our view was to emphasise that it’s never too late to share your story defending your rights. The two times golden champion admitted that she was as well a sexual harassment victim, causing a large wave of people coming forward and sharing their stories. She became an inspiration and even a role-model for many as she caused the nascence of the ‘Me Too Movement’ in Greece.

What we wanted to achieve was to spread our slogan “Together we can” through organising multiple actions just as themed events and seminars hosted by Mrs Bekatorou herself as well as sessions with specialised psychologists. These actions came to fruition and contributed to raise money to cover part of the court cost for many victims.
