Marketing_DigitalMobileLab: The W.I.S.E. Methodology analysis of a great Creative Ad as presented by Mark Aris
Ads today are everywhere. We all watch countless spots every day in the media or even out on the road. Some of them are witty, some are emotional and other TV commercials make us wonder what we can do in order to make the world a better place of living.
In «AD & PR Lab», Markos Aris & his company, «4 Wise Monkeys», taught us a brand new and innovative marketing tool, which can help us not only analyze the recent TV Sports, but also creative unique TV Commercials. It is called “W.I.S.E.”, which is an acronym of four adjectives.
We say that a TV commercial is W.I.S.E. when it is:
Wow
Insightful
Strategically relevant
Easy to understand
We believe that the TV Commercial, we have chosen, covers the necessary specifications in order to be WISE and to be loved from the viewers.
TV Commercial: «PIOU: THE BLACK GUN (ΠΙΟΥ: ΤΟ ΜΑΥΡΟ ΠΙΣΤΟΛΙ» – A COMMERCIAL OF WIND NETWORK.
Specifically, it is WOW, because it seems like a real movie with a plot. The TV Commercial starts with an eye-catching scene, which can easily remind us a highlight of our daily routine. Plus, it has a sense of humor and a catchy slogan, that sticks to the viewers («Αγαπούλα, ΠΟΥΛΑ»!)
Furthermore, we can describe this TV Commercial as Insightful, because all the scenario is based on images that can be either a moment of our daily schedule or a reportage that can be presented at the “NEWS”. Customers are able to see their selves and their behavior through the TV ad.
Moreover, our advertisement can be characterized as Strategically Relevant as it released on a period, when literally football was “talk of the town”. Specifically, it was released on Summer 2012, when the “Euro Cap” was taken place. Everybody became a football lover, as the public wanted to stand by his favorite country. Plus, the blue color, which is a characteristic of Wind Network, and the fast speed were in every scene of the spot.
Last but not least, we can describe our advertisement as Easy to Understand, because it has a simple message and people of everyday life. Also, the protagonist of the AD is a famous Greek actor. Plus, it
identifies the transfer to a football team with the transfer to the Wind Network.
