Problem Solvers of Student Hand!
Since we noticed that a problem occurred with new students trying to settle in their new environment, we decided to create this project to make their first steps in a new city, better and easier.
Before we start with our team members, we’d like to take a moment and appreciate our dear teacher and mentor of this group, Miss Betty Tsakarestou! You can all find her here.
For this purpose, we first of all we gathered our team and seperated our responsibilities. Constantinos which is our organizer and communicating manager, communicates with new students and sends them to any of the team members depending on their needs.
Our second member is Demetris Hadjiantonis who has the responsibility of house finding, as he is the older in the team, and knows better than us the insights of Athens.
Next person is me Stelios Evaggelou and my part in this project is to help with furniture finding and transferring them in the student houses. Furniture can be found from older students who don’t have need of them anymore since they are departing from Athens, or from newspaper advertisements.
Lastly our only girl in the team, Andrea Onisiphorou, who has the part of helping with anything including paperwork, and making the first connections for the new students. After finding a home and furniture they need to get to know the city, their new classmates, and new friends. That’s a good way to socialize and start this new life with a BANG!
