After some brainstorming sessions, our Team, Project W, agreed and ended up with the following screenplay for our video. We decided to show how easy it actually is to fail at being organized and fall out of schedule, especially nowadays, when it comes to assignments and other work or school related activities, and maybe even drink more than enough cups of coffee in order to get by our stressful lifestyle.

We came up with that plot as a team, that is to say, taking into consideration all of our members’ opinions. In addition, we, unanimously, decided that it would cause many issues and be almost practically impossible for all six of us to shoot the actual video, as we all own cell phones with different display resolutions, so we equally splitted the tasks among us. But before that, we spent some time going through the basics again, and by that we mean the 5-shot-rules and more class material and finally we settled to what exactly will be depicted to every frame. We, then, came down to two of us; that was, the ones who owned the highest quality cameras on our phones, to shoot the video. Another member was willing to undertake the video editing part as she was more familiar with working on multiple editing softwares.

Our clip’s main goal was to promote Checker Plus for Google Calendar™, an extension of Google services. The target audience of this short promo video is everyone who struggles to stay organized or loves to keep everything in place and, also, definitely everyone who hates to fill its working space with countless post-its.

If we had the chance, as well as the proper time frame to do so, we would use different editing tools, as the ones we used kind of lowered the initial display resolution, resulting in a slight visual discomfort.

The text that went along with our Facebook post (also referring to the beginning of that post) was selected because it perfectly conveys the way we feel and think when we are coping with workplace stress and the pressure of assignments: we either seek great sources of energy in order to get by whatever stresses us, by ourselves, or sometimes we just need that little extra help of something like Checker Plus has to offer. So what’s better than a little helper which will stay by your side, reminding you everything you need to remember, preventing you from chaotic situations and ensuring that you will never seem unprofessional than Checker Plus for Google Calendar™? Way more practical and much more cost effective than large amounts of coffee beans, isn’t it?

The engagement rate we reached was adequately satisfying. Our Facebook post had 30 likes in total and two comments by our fellow colleagues that included positive reviews and very encouraging feedback. We were glad because from their commentary we understood that we succeeded in being relatable and helpful.
