Re-style…how everything began!
For the needs AdandPrLab at Panteion University, and specifically the Digital creativity: apps, games and coding lab, we where requested to come up with an idea of a start-up company and bring it to life by creating prototypes of a site and an application. This is when it all started and Double-O-Seven was created by seven extremely different personalities.Creating a start-up company isn’t easy. First of all you need an innovative idea, something that doesn’t exist yet. As a team consisted of seven girls the answer was easy…CLOTHES! A member of our team had recently attended a seminar about up-cycling, which is a way of using things that you already have in order to create something new! We wanted to invest on this idea and create an environmentally friendly start-up company!
There is a variety of different on-line clothing companies that provide clothes for any kind of style, so this was not innovative at all. Another issue was the fact that each one of us had different tastes and styles but we all had a piece of clothing forgotten in our wardrobes or one that we bought but never wore, what would we do with them? We would recycle and re-style them the way we wanted! We decided to create a start-up company with a site and an app for everyone. Our goal is to respond to any ones style and preferencies on clothing. Re-style is, first of all, an eco-friendly start-up company that gives people the opportunity to create a new stylish piece of clothing out of something they already have had. The process is simple the users have just to create a profile decide what they want to change on their clothes and send them to us so we can work on them. There is a wide rage of options that can be also combined, zippers, cut-outs, sequents, prints, fur, stamps,drawings can be added to a plane t-shirt or an old jean. And what will be added is on your hand. Another option that Re-style provides to it’s users is the chance to accept a challenge specifically created for the bold ones. “Surprise me” section is an opportunity to take a risk and send us a piece of clothing without having any idea what our designers are going to do to it. Of course, we understand that this is quite risky, but your clothes are in the very best hands possible and there are samples of our designers’ creations, in order to make our visitors believe in our capabilities and trust us to re-style their clothes.

The most amazing part of our company is the fact that your clothes are being re-styled by up-coming professional designers, people that have studied about fashion for years will work on something you will give them and create a unique piece for you, that cannot be found anywhere else but your wardrobe. Re-style gives you the opportunity to have something designed specifically for you, while providing you comfort about the final result since professionals are working on your clothes.
