Research on other competitive startups

Having decided the type of our startup company we were obliged to search and collect as many information as possible for other travel applications as the competitiveness on the market is huge. The purpose of this survey was to learn even more about the provisions of those apps and how we could compete them.

Each member of the team chose to analyze a competitive startup and make a presentation.
Christina selected a startup called «Europe Travel Guide». The two applications had some common points but they were differentiated towards the services provided, for example Eu Travel provides information about sights whereas Europe Travel Guide does not.
Leta found and analyzed an app named «The Culture Trip». Our application and theirs were pretty similar to what they offered the users. However the approach of Culture Trip was more on an cultural level.
Catherine picked the app «Visit a city». These two startup companies are both in the field of travel information. The differences refer to the destinations and some features regarding the users.
Arviola chose the app with the name «Triposo». Both startups are new to the market of travel guidance and seek to attract as many as possible users. According to this reseach the results showed that Triposo is focusing on global level while Eu Travel is active in Europe provoding some similar services.

Taking everything into account, the reason behind this research was to understand better our own app and make a differnce compared to other similar applications.
