SolArt Communications: A travelogue

A few months ago we began a new academic chapter entering the 4th semester of our studies. We took upon the AD & PR Course in which we were called to create a marketing agency of our choice. Our team consisting of Dimitra Thoma, Dimitra Kipourou, Iliana Myrogianni, Maria Karvounidou and Dimitra Protopsalti decided to make a marketing agency promoting musical events and concerts called SolArt. Our name contains the words Sol meaning the sun and Art all relating to our goal which is to create unique memories for our clients through majestic events with lots of art and positive energy. When creating SolArt our mission was to mainly promote new and upcoming artists who deeply appreciate their music. We also wanted to expand the country’s range when it comes to musical events, bring more artists from abroad and provide the greek audience with new experiences and more musical genres. Our main values are trust, human connection, unity, love, diversity and positive thinking.

Our Mission

Here at SolArt Communications when we say ‘moments to remember’ we make it our personal commitment to create once in a lifetime experience for our clients. We prioritize their vision filtered through our companies’ morals compass of an ethical work space. By making a safe work space creativity can blossom between our clients and our team giving the best results. High quality and value-driven are most fitting to summarize our view and mission.

Our Vision

As our company can provide outstanding services, we aim to ensure a loyal client base that can develop through time. The continuing development of our company, our clientele and technology will allow us to be innovative and effective.

Our Core Values

Environmentally friendly: We want SolArt to evolve and succeed alongside nature so it’s very important for all our events that all aspects and sustainable to their environment (using compostable materials and making sure to respect the places the events are held). We are very proud to call our company carbon-neutral and eco-friendly.

Woman empowerment: It’s no secret that our company is woman owned and has a lot of women within our team. We deeply value all our colleagues with livable wages, supporting working-mothers but also making an environment where everybody and grow to be their best self.

Following our journey our first project was to present a campaign from the Cannes Lions 2021 in which we chose #wombstories by Libresse. Given we are an all women company who aim to promote more women in the industry we though it was only right that we present a campaign which sheds light into women’s struggles. Next, we had to collaborate with Bodyform to create a campaign together. Given our concept we decided to organise a music festival to encourage women to speak up for themselves, embrace their bodies and the natural procedures they go through. Our latest big project was to choose our ideal client, present them and create a campaign for their promotion. We chose Barbara Argyrou, a young talented and upcoming singer. She’s been known in the industry for a while given her appearance on multiple music talent shows. Our company organised her debut solo concert to help promote her music and her as a new artist while ensuring the highest quality and the best experience possible.

One of our first steps was to create a social media image. Our agency can be found on various platforms such as Instagram, Twitter , Facebook and LinkedIn. We believe creating a social image is the key to success. We chose these platforms because we want to include all the people in our audience( from young people to the elderly). There you can find some information about our agency, our projects and basically accompany us in our creative journey. We are connected with our audience and respond to messages as soon as possible, In the future ,we strive to become more interactive with our people in our social media platforms by creating quizzes or q&a’s. We try to upload content every week and stay connected with our audience.

SolArt’s Instagram page

Following the social media idea, we created a website where you can find more information about SolArt-how we started as an agency, our missions and values, our team members, our ambitions and our projects. We also provide a newsletter ( you can subscribe by using your email) where we send you monthly updates for our next steps and our projects. (The colors used in our website represent the idea of our agency). You can view it through http://solartcommunications.tilda.ws/

Our last call was to create a campaign promoting our ideal customer — in this case Barbara Argyrou. We put together a 2 — day open air concert followed by a fireworks show. The show is hosted during the summer thus we chose this as our concept. Swimsuits, merchandise, lightsticks, cold beverages, live band music and lots of dancing supported by our sponsors. Promoting the event would take place on all our and Barbara’s social medias with posters and videos from her previous appearances. We’re mainly focusing on promoting the concert through content creators on the internet such as Fipster. His videos are fun and easy to watch creating a great image for the guests invited and interviewed.
