Studentship

Coming up with the idea…

When we were asked from our AD and PR Lab instructors, Betty Tsakarestou and Dr. Stavros Kaperonis to brainstorm and come up with a business idea that we thought was innovative and unique our team, Starketers (a merge from the words start-up and marketers) consisted of Sofia Anastasiou, Marianna Brousti, Nektaria Ignatiou, Marianna Kantli and Martha Tselemegkou, created «Studentship» , a platform that would help young people find the ideal start-up company for them and vice-versa.

Our services:

For many college students or graduates just the thought of searching for future employment sends chills down their spine. Granted that you have ambition and excitement for creation, we believe that working for a start-up company is the perfect environment for a newcomer in the workforce. You will get the opportunity to learn from true innovators in entrepreneurship, while developing a unique skill set and growing as a professional, an experience that can prove to be empowering for every student.

Our community collects information from your personal profiles and provides the ability to find compatibility between the needs of both start-ups and graduates alike. Ιn this way, we engage young people through our community to develop with the help of our platform.

What’s the difference between the others?

But why did we end up with this idea? Why did we consider it innovative? There is no existing community or platform that could be used mutually by young people seeking employment and also promoting startup companies for the same aim. Studentship’s main feature is that it constitutes the first attempt of bringing together students / graduates with startups. We envision the upcoming power of the unity of fresh minds and new ideas, between a startup and its workforce.

Our main goal is to provide students and internship and, in the long run, a job based on what they have studied. We want them to gain experience so that in the future they will be able to make it in the business community. What better way than to start their internship by working on a start-up? Being a non-profit organization we focus on bringing together employers and employees for their mutual benefit.
