The beginning of Going Viral

In the context of the class Introduction to Advertising and public relations by our teacher Betty Tsakarestou , the idea of creating our own digital Start up AD PR Agency came up. Following the instructions and due to the great team work we had during this semester we managed to create this brand new Start up called Going Viral. This idea originally came from one of our team members Katerina Sapouna who is on a rock band called “The Ripples” and the lead singer also as we decided that as a company we were going to represent upcoming artists and bands starting with them.

Going Viral consists of 4 brilliant members: Charitini Koutsogianni of the Innovation and Growth Department , Myrto Gorou of the Media Department , Stela Kampadaki of the Creative Department and Katerina Sapouna of the Strategic Department. Our mission is to assist our clients to reach greater engagement in their social media as well as their concerts but most importantly to make them go viral and make their name known across the web. Our vision is to support and empower upcoming artists, singers, and bands by creating a safe space for them to grow. We assist them to gain more interactivity across their social media platforms and organize their promotion. This idea was ignited by our familiarity with social media and our passion for music as well as the fact that in Greece, there are not many opportunities for artists who begin their journey. We believe, as a team, that this new generation has extreme skill and talent to change things, and very often change can be enacted through art, especially music as it can transmit messages in an all-inclusive way by expressing directly the artist’s opinions, thoughts, and feelings. That is the reason why we chose to represent and promote artists: to raise awareness about gen-Z’s ideas through the power of art. In the music industry representation of all races, generations, sexes, and sexualities should always be a priority and so we are identifying as an all-inclusive company supporting everyone’s choices , culture, and values. All in all, we aspire to provide hope to new artists and the proper means for them to use (always accompanied by us) to achieve their desired goals- or as we would say “GO VIRAL”.

The values that we are set on are the safety of our clients , the mutual trust, accountability, honesty, integrity, respect, the commitment to our clients, the constant improvement , diversity, teamwork and inclusivity. During this time we have managed to work on some really interesting projects such as Giant Heart and The Ripples Project and we have cooperated with some smaller ones for example the Cannes Lions Award Campaign.
