Turn the planet ON : Challenges during the team’s construction

In the beginning of our project, we had already thought the fact that we should do something special and interactive to promote our campaign. This was a real challenge for us, because our target group was -especially- the young generation, so we had to find a good motivation for their environmental awareness.

In the first place, our initial idea for the “green” campaign that we were preparing about, was the creation of “green” challenges via an article form on our Facebook page. Unfortunately we did not have the appeal we expected from our followers. This was a “hit” for our team that made us reconsider the whole concept, and forced us to find new ways of presenting our goals as a non-profit environmental organization.

After many hours of thinking how could we achieve the aims of the “Turn the planet ON” team, we came up with the idea of making videos, and publishing them on the project’s social media accounts (on Facebook & Instagram). Of course, each video would be consisted of information about an environmental problem and a set of solutions that human being can do to fight against those problems, and build a better future, even if some consequences of the human activity are irreversible.

Since the decision was made, we had to restart from zero, and that moment was the beginning of a journey which filled us with knowledge and conscience for our planet’s protection.

A Panteion University team consisted of three members:

Michailidi Eugenia

Pantelaki Anastasia

Tsikalaki Aggeliki
