Why we invested in Impress

Ad4Ventures is the venture capital arm of Mediaset Group (leading free to air television broadcaster in Spain and Italy), focused on television media for equity deals. Ad4ventures has become the largest media for equity player in Southern Europe.

What is it?

Impress is innovating in one of the last healthcare markets to be disrupted: orthodontic clear alignment treatments, with its proprietary solution from start to finish.

Impress combines its clinics and health team with best-in-class technology treatment (in-house digital treatment planning, monitoring, and manufacturing), creating a unique business model.

Why?

· Global ambition: When we first met Impress, it already had a European footprint, but now it has expanded throughout central Europe and entered the USA market (with further expansion plans). The company aims to become the world-leading orthodontic chain.

· Omnichannel: While visits to clinics are part of orthodontic treatment, Impress has leveraged technology to build a tech ecosystem across the entire customer journey, providing a competitive advantage compared to traditional orthodontics.

· Growth: Approximately 60% of the global population suffers from malocclusion or misalignment of teeth, making the market still under-penetrated. However, dental care awareness is increasing, driven by technological advances that make treatments more affordable and convenient, along with improved health education.

· TV Fit: The market is highly fragmented, where trust is essential due to the high-cost nature of health treatment. TV impacts both confidence, enhancing conversion, and brand awareness, being top of mind, thus helping build the European leader.
