Why we invested in Pensium

Ad4Ventures is the venture capital arm of Mediaset Group (leading free to air television broadcaster in Spain and Italy), focused on television media for equity deals. Ad4ventures has become the largest media for equity player in Southern Europe.

What is it?

Pensium helps finance the cost of nursing home care for people in dependency (grade II and III) while allowing them to keep their own home without the need to mortgage or sell it.

Pensium advances the money for the user’s needs (residence, etc.) using a credit that is repaid with the rent of the house. The house is renovated and managed by Pensium until the investment is recovered.

Why?

· Hot sector: Investment in solutions for the silver economy has increased in recent years due to the rising life expectancy and significant aging of the population in the following decades. The silver economy will require new and more solutions to improve the lives of older individuals through technology.

· Product: Pensium has a clear ESG purpose, offering a convenient and straightforward solution for families with dependents. All alternatives (such as selling an asset, renting, reverse mortgage, and life annuity) require significant effort for the family and carry the risk of liquidity or execution. Pensium offers an alternative painless proposition.

· TV Fit: New solutions need “discovery” (it’s hard to find something you don’t know about), and trust is essential in the sensitive matter of silver economy well-being. TV brings confidence, thereby improving conversion rates and lowering customer acquisition costs (CAC).
