Feeling Pumped!
This week the team has been working hard to complete our weekly milestone of having the database setup for our companion application and finishing setting up the falsified data to start working on our breast feeding algorithm.
Each individual on our team has also been working independently on our own parallel task. Emma and Dana have been working hard to get the bluetooth communication set up so our breast pump can communicate with our companion application. Additionally, the two “Em”’s have also begin working on setting up Firestore with the companion application so that we can save data from the application and the pump and have begun working on the user interactions for the companion application and have begun mocking those up.
Dana has also been designing the connector part and continuing work on the communication between the pump and the application. Finally, Shreya has been working on creating the data for the algorithm and has added a connection between the pump suction power and the milk volume.
Overall, progress is going well and due to its parallel nature has been progressing on all fronts. We hope to reconcile all the separate parts (ie. the communication, the application, the algorithms, and the physical pump) by mid February.
