MAINNET Beta Launch: Preparation Guide
The day has finally come! We are so excited to launch our beta phase of the Handle Standard. In preparation, we’ve created a guide for the community to help you get ready for the big day, as well as what to expect.
Important Details
- Launch Time: December 17th, 5pm UTC.
- End Time: When at least 15,000 Handles have been sold.
- Access Link Expire Time: 10 minutes.
- Access Window Duration: 30 minutes total.
- Purchase Session Duration: 10 minutes each.
- Cost Range: 10–500 $ADA
- Refund Policy: Issued in bulk post-beta sale, 2 $ADA minimum.
Email Delivery & The Queue
One of the best things you can do to prepare for beta launch is to configure your email appropriately. In order to get the best experience, please do the following:
- Add hello@adahandle.com to your safe senders list.
- Turn on notifications for alerts.
- Be ready (access links are valid for only 10 minutes)!
- Please check your Spam folder regularly.
Because it’s possible to have delayed delivery times of your access link (we only send if blockchain load is below 80%), you may receive it when you are not expecting it. Due to the limitations of our third-party authentication service, the access link is only valid for 10 minutes after receiving.
If you miss your window, you’ll have to re-enter the queue and try again — so don’t miss your first access link if you can help it!
Wallets
Upon creating a purchase session for your desired Handle, you will receive a unique payment address to send $ADA to. Any mainstream wallet will work here, but some good ones that we recommend are:
- Daedalus (make sure it is synced before launch)
- Nami Wallet
- CCVault
- Yoroi
Refunds
Because of the way our minting is optimized, refunds will be issued only after the Beta Sale ends (i.e., all 15,000 Handles are sold). Because of this, refunds may take up to 14 days to be processed.
It’s important to remember to make accurate payments, or your funds will be locked up until we can process those refunds. In the meantime, you’ll have to try again with additional $ADA.
Support
Support will be handled mainly through our Discord, but we will also be responding to email requests as soon as we can. For faster support, we recommend the Discord since the community can sometimes respond faster than we can.
