“Man, I saw you switch that post-it.”

On July 5th and 6th 2018, Ada Health hosted a 48-hour company-wide hackathon. A small fortress could have been built with the sheer amount of pizza boxes we went through to fuel our efforts.

Nodding and plotting.

For those who don’t know, a hackathon is traditionally a coding event where software engineers improve on their existing products. Also known as ‘exploratory programming’ designers, developers, programmers, come together and try out new software projects in a limited amount of time.

But with Ada’s dynamic and talented team we extended participation to all teams to help bring the ideas to life.

How we hacked

Earlier in the week, our team members submitted features that clients and users have had on their wish list for quite some time. With 60 ideas voted down to 17, we had two days (the weekend for some!) to plan, to prepare and present by Monday morning.

Off without a hitch

She is onto something.

“It was an incredible opportunity to see brilliant minds working together, it was so inspiring,” says Lia, our business development intern from New York.

With the halls of Ada brimming with positive energy as team members had the chance to work with people from other teams, presentation day saw impressive prototypes of ideas that had been mere sketches on a napkin just days ago. Congratulations to all our team members who participated.

Stay tuned for announcements of new Ada features!
