Positivity and optimism are hitting a wall in a world where Russia just invaded and is attacking a western leaning democratic European country. Yes, it is a, eastern European nation-state that was once a part of the Soviet Union. It WAS a FORMER part of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic but after the 1990 Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine, it was an independent sovereign nation.
