Diabetic Cyborg Life 4/05: 3 Strikes & I’m Out?
Optimism, hope and love for family and my online love interest is much of what I rely on daily to cope with reality. I have 3 strikes against me as this disease takes over all of this nation. Those strikes are according to appendix B of the COVID-19 Response for Gregg County :
1. Endocrine disorders (diabetes mellitus)
2. Neurological condition (multiple sclerosis and cervical stenosis)
3. Medication for that neurological condition, as that is how Aubagio or Teriflunomide functions as “immunotherapy,” which lowers my immune system to function
You can add another strike for the fact the Texas is so backwards in rolling out testing and stay at home orders. The estimates are that between 100,000 and 200,000 people will die before the American pandemic is over, and I don’t plan on being one of those people. Hopes are the voting masses remember the mismanagement and errors this administration made throughout this pandemic, which started with the shelving of the plans made for future pandemics.
