Soon we will know the OB-GYN’s, or Obstetrics and gynaecology or obstetrics and gynecology, in charge of my mother’s uncontrolled ovarian cancer plan to remedy it. The cancer center caring for her sees that it all began as ovarian cancer, so it should be addressed by a doctor of specialty. The oncologist on call went over the issues of her current situation, which is as bad as we knew already.

That restatement of facts was a downer to recap all the issues she faces, yet we are at the exact place to address and treat the ailments she’s facing. I can’t help but think of my own situation with my progressive MS, multiple sclerosis.

I have yet to see a sub-specialist for the progressive part of my disease and feel that much better that Mom is actually seeing the person she needs now. Yes, cancer and MS are not even close the same in lethality, but that contemplation does make me feel better about her illness. Her cancer faces its foe in the person of the doctors in her case.

May the cancer be vanquished by the hand of this new opened cancer with cutting-edge cures and advanced methods.
