Diabetic Cyborg Life 6/10: 1972 & Dick vs. 2020 & Donnie
My history teacher Mother had a brilliant observation of how Nixon was a much better liar than Trump. Dick, Nixon, appeared to be on the side of the masses that wanted to end the war before the 1972 election. Whereas, Donnie, Trump that is, appears to be the complete opposite and against the masses that want racial justice.
The fact he was lying about wanting to end the war and did all that he could to prolong it. That included a backroom deal to keep it going way longer than needed, yet I will leave that here. Donnie appears to be half the conman Dick was and will most likely face a defeat equal to Dick’s 72 win.
The fact that already the 2020 primaries show bad things are instore for the GOP as a whole, and particularly and one allied with Donnie. Steve King’s primary loss by his OWN party in the GOP ought to send a tremor up Donnie spine.
So, will this premonition in political science and history pan out in reality? We just have to wait for November 2020 to see if the tales and Dick and Donnie end the way my Mother, I and all hope.
