The protest votes that I hear people saying they will do for Gaza only show the ignorance of people towards government and diplomacy. Joe Biden has more diplomatic knowledge in pinky than the entire GOP has left in it after Trump. That is the other choice here in 2024.
No, the third party will never matter in the Presidential elections here until there is a sign that a groundswell of voters is coming to the general election. Signs of a third party mattering in state elections will be so obvious it begs for a Presidential candidate until that matter. No sign of that is even close to being a reality as we speak now.
The dumpster fire that is the GOP now is a perfect sign of how long it takes a movement to affect national parties. TEA Party rumblings started after Barack Obama was elected in 2008. An offended white people’s reaction was that movement.
That climaxed in 2016 when Trump was named the nominee for the GOP. Eight years and much pain and the destruction of a party is all that the TEA Party took to matter in a general election.
No, a third party will never happen in months or an election cycle in American politics.
Even Trump lost in 2020 and continuously in every election since to totally decimate the GOP.
