A slow motion car wreck’s what 2024 feels like so far.
Liking a candidate or not liking a candidate is not the issue. It is a choice to end America as a functional state. The slow motion car wreck that is the end of our democracy really began as the “TEA Party’’ in reaction to Barack Obama’s election in 2008. The racist backlash of white supremacist to a black man being elected to the highest office in the land was too much for many.
This election is a choice to end democracy once and for all. As SCOTUS has ended some of the ideas of no one above the law with the Donald immunity decision. We as the citizenry and Justice Department can still act as if the laws apply to all until appealed to the SCOTUS.
Then the law can show immunity of a President/King, but that would have to come along in actions of the lower courts. Then it will logically be appealed back up SCOTUS and then they undoubtedly remind us there is a king now.
Acting as if the people that pay attention to the U.S. Constitution are the evil doers is just maddening.
They used to be the ones that were anal about following the laws, but now we know they only did that when it fit their needs at the time.
