The Diabetic Cyborg Life 07/18: It’s About, Continuing Democracy
Not a person as I said yesterday but continuing the idea of democracy in America. Not forsaking and ignoring the millions of deaths and lives given in wars over centuries. Forgiving the right for even considering the whole change to an authoritarian over the history of our origins in democracy.
Democracy is slow and messy and plotting and overly regulated, yet that is the beauty of the system. That messy and slowness means we can debate and come to an agreement in system and policy that doesn’t just compromise to achieve an outcome. We can synergize and make a better, fuller, richer way to do things we alone never dreamed at the time and is much better in hindsight.
No, I don’t mean sacrificing the now for the future, but work to achieve outcomes that fit now and look even better in historic terms.
Yes, the historian in me is showing, but remember I am a political analyst and alive now. So, we both need things to work now also.
