And now, BLADE offers geo-targeting! This means that advertisers can now target their ads based on the geographic location of a user.

What this means for advertisers and users:

Targeted ads are great for advertisers and users alike. For example, if a product or service is only available in certain regions, this allows the advertiser to show ads to just users in those regions. This also means that users outside of those regions won’t see irrelevant ads.

Privacy protection:

With increased targeting capabilities, it’s important to take a closer look at data privacy for end users. With BLADE, users’ browsing behaviour (such as clicks, time on a site, etc.) is never tracked, stored or shared with third parties. BLADE only tracks the ad that you’ve been shown and the publishing site it’s on — So that BLADE can reward users and publishers as part of the advertising ecosystem.

Even when an advertisers geo targets their ads, they will not be able to access any additional data from BLADE — The simply set their geo targets in their dashboard and BLADE does the rest behind the scenes!
