Yes, it’s time for another BLADE post! The team is incredibly busy testing so let’s take a look at some sneak peeks at the BLADE browser extension for Chrome!
Our amazing Tech Lead Conor has spent many hours leading the dev team to this exciting point in the project: beta testing! During beta testing, the core adbank team has been thoroughly testing the Chrome extension so that we can ensure the best launch day possible.
Read on to see what the team has been up to during testing!
UX/UI by Tyler:
Tyler Pratt our resident graphic design genius has been crushing it with the UX/UI design for the extension.
UX/UI stands for User Experience and User Interface for those who don’t know. It takes a long, long time and a lot of testing and tweaking to develop great UX/UI design and Tyler has pulled it off with BLADE!
Above is a behind the scenes peek at the amount of variables involved in even a small ad blocking plugin. Each of those tiles represents a possible view the user will encounter while using BLADE. It took a lot of coffee, but we made it!
Above you’ll see two of the possible views that users will see when using the BLADE browser extension: the Main Menu view and the Settings view. You might notice a pixelated menu item that we’re not ready to announce yet…
The Tech by Conor & the Dev Team:
Above you’ll see a sneak peek at both the KYC screen and the secret phrase screen in the BLADE extension. As we’ve discussed before, KYC is required for transferring tokens out of the BLADE platform. It’s a fairly standard practice that users will recognize from ICO participation in the past.
The BLADE extension is built with a secret phrase recovery mechanism just like many other platforms that house cryptocurrencies. In case you forget your password, you can recover your BLADE account (and any ADB being held in it) by using your secret phrase.
