Here at adbank, we’ve been building the future of advertising for a little over 18 months. You can find out what we’ve been up to, what we’ve built and deployed and how it all works together to support the ADB token in this blog post:

In November of 2018 we announced plans for the BLADE browser extension with several newsworthy announcements along the way — the most impressive being GDPR compliance of all KYC users. Since then, BLADE has launched for the Chrome browser and an extension for Firefox is very close to deployment!

End users love BLADE because it shares the advertisers ad spend with them — effectively rewarding users for viewing ads. Advertisers love BLADE for a different reason — most notably, because BLADE is GDPR compliant!

How is BLADE GDPR compliant?

For those outside of the crypto space, KYC (Know Your Customer) is a common practice for ICO’s. The process can vary between projects, but for BLADE, it is a simple verification of name, age, country and consent to view ads through the BLADE browser extension. This means that every KYC user with the BLADE browser extension has consented to see ads. No expensive tracking needed. GDPR compliance could not be easier — thanks to blockchain!

Why users love BLADE:

GDPR compliance is great for advertisers, but why are users clamouring to install a browser extension that shows them ads? Because they get paid! The adbank advertising platform (the protocol that BLADE is built on) utilizes the ADB cryptocurrency token to show ads through the BLADE browser extension. Recognizing the importance of users in the advertising ecosystem, adbank built BLADE to facilitate the users active participation in viewing ads — and getting paid for it.
