The adbank team is excited to announce the newest B2B offering utilizing the adbank blockchain technology: relay.digital. Relay.digital provides clever solutions to new problems that have arisen for companies whose employees are working from home (WFH) due to COVID-19.

What is relay.digital?

Relay.digital uses the BLADE browser extension technology to provide a much needed solution to several problems when companies are trying to manage WFH employees. Relay.digital works on two main pillars of remote employee management: improving productivity and maintaining company communication and culture.

How does relay-digital achieve these goals?

  • Blocks distracting pop up ads
  • Replace in-browser ads with company message, called a “Relay”

How does this use the adbank technology?

Just like the BLADE browser extensions, Relay.digital uses the same technology to block annoying ads and serve the company’s Relays in their place.

How does this benefit the adbank community?

BLADE is our B2C (Business to Consumer) offering and Relay is our B2B (Business to Business) offering. While BLADE is successful in its own right, Relay allows us to reach much larger user bases much quicker. By on-boarding just a handful of companies, we have the opportunity to gain thousands of new users efficiently.

While BLADE offers rewards to end users in the form of ADB tokens, Relay is a B2B service and will not reward employees (end users) for viewing company Relays. Instead relay.digital will be benefiting the community in 3 ways resulting in the same token economics and driving faster innovation and user adoption…

  1. Token Economics — We have implemented a buy back plan equal to 33% of any revenue generated in the process of showing Relay messages. This mirrors much of the token economics with BLADE.
  2. Growing User Base — All users of relay.digital will see powered by blade.digital under each relay message exposing BLADE to ideally thousands of users with one business signing up
  3. Innovation — As we execute pilots and then eventually sign up larger companies we will be increasing the pace of adding additional features (video relays etc) which will benefit the overall adbank/BLADE ecosystem.

New Hire — Angus Crawford

We are thrilled to announce our newest addition to the team! Angus has been hired and tasked with lining up initial pilots.

Angus has many years experience in marketing and entrepreneurship. Most recently, Angus founded a raw food restaurant that he grew into a 12 location franchise, including a location in NYC. Angus also published a Canadian best-selling cookbook with Random House. In 2019, Angus wound down all operations and moved into the digital marketing world — just in time!
