Our 2019 Goals Progress — OKR progress

Jon (CEO) Outlook:

The big news over the last few months has been our continued push for adoption of BLADE. Every big announcement over the last few months has been focused on driving adoption. Although the pace of adoption is lagging behind where we want it to be, there is an undeniable desire for this technology from both users, advertisers, and publishers.

Our major updates over the last few months include…

  • Firefox replacer on the ad-on store accelerating adoption within Firefox. This was a big step to getting a solution that will be easier to adopt then needing to side-load.
  • Incentive pushes to involve the community (September sign up bonus and October referral rewards — more on this below)
  • Big coverage on a couple key podcasts including the famous and long awaited coverage with Joe Blackburn!
  • The biggest announcement was our push to migrate users from Varanida to BLADE. This approach of partnering with or acquiring projects in the space to accelerate adoption and push the vision of a digital advertising ecosystem that we all get to participate in is exciting.

Based on the success of these strategies it will lead to evolving our 2020 strategies. While many other projects have slowed down or stopped completely, we continue to push and deliver!

Specifically…

  • The Chrome and Firefox extensions are performing well
  • We’re thrilled to have the replacer extension live in the Firefox ad-ons store!

Team

Financial / Runway

Revenue has been behind plan in part due to slower user growth with BLADE and ECig running into a strong headwind in the US currently. We are still on plan for runway into 2021.

Marketing

BLADE is live for Chrome and Firefox and we are so excited to share this with the world!

Varanida partnership

Adbank is thrilled to announce a user migration partnership with Varanida. This partnership will invite existing Varanida users and community members to utilize the BLADE browser extensions and get rewarded in ADB tokens!

The sales pipeline is still full with a lot of interest since announcing Firefox having both extensions in the ad-ons store!

Progress Against Core Objectives Update:

1. Objective — BLADE adoption — adbank ad block extension that allows only adbank powered ads through, while rewarding you for viewing those ads!

1a. Key Result — #1 ad block/reward extension used by the crypto community. Attracting many users and a dominant presence within the crypto community especially!

September Update — Growth has been slower then we wanted but 2 big moves made with Firefox replacer and the Varanida partnership to accelerate.

2. Objective — Pilots, Pilots, Pilots — Our pipeline has never been more full and we are bringing on additional team members to help handle!

2a. Key Result — Consistent monthly pilots similar to the Austria & Red Bull pilot, growing to several per month

September Update — Similar to the last update there continues to be a shift away from pilots for the sake of blockchain and our team focus has been on BLADE.

3. Objective — Utility driven by operating AdNetworks (Signed agreement to bring some of the largest crypto publishers inventory available on IntergalacticAds.com)

3a. Key Result — IntergalacticAds.com and other vertical ad networks #1 or #2 by market share in their verticals.

September Update — ECig has run into some strong headwinds currently in the US. Revenue is behind plan and a lot of uncertainty currently/rightfully exists within that industry.
