Back in 2017, Nike invited 12 influencers (RevolutionAirs) for its Nike Air Max Day “Vote Forward” campaign. The idea was to have these 12 RevolutionAirs each reimagine and design a unique pair of Nike Air Max. The shoe with the most votes will be released by Nike later on in the next Air Max day. This Vote Forward campaign was proven to be a huge success and allowed Nike to connect better with the sneaker community.

For the results, Sean Wotherspoon was the winner of the Vote Forward campaign.

Sean Wotherspoon, being the co-founder of vintage boutique store Round Two, has long been a collector of sneakers and vintage clothing. Much of his inspirations for his design come from Nike hats from the 80s and vintage clothes.

Interestingly, the design of the shoe Sean showcased in the Vote Forward contest is different from the actual design of the shoe. The photo shows a design with green upper while the shoe has a yellow upper. This is because Sean wanted the audience to be able to tell that the material is corduroy. In order to do so, he had to change the color from yellow to green to make it more obvious.
