How I Am Making a Difference on Medium
When Medium makes a difference in you, you make a difference on Medium too.
I am delighted to share this story on Medium, about how some small acts of help and spreading my love for the platform are making a positive impact.
As a writer on this platform, I’m already contributing significantly by writing stories, reading, and staying active — all of which help Medium grow. But beyond these obvious activities, which I do for myself as well, there’s more that I contribute.
When the Medium Partner Program (MPP) launched in India last month, I was beyond thrilled to finally start earning from my hobby. Following your passion is rewarding, but getting paid for it? That’s even better!
As I began earning, it brought happiness, but I also realized how intellectual and enriching this hobby is. Writing and reading build knowledge, expand your mind, enhance your vocabulary, and more. On top of all that, being on Medium now allows you to earn a little extra too.
Given the exchange rate between US dollars and Indian rupees, Medium can help someone earn as much as an average job in India — especially for young people. This is a huge financial benefit.
With this realization, I spread the word and shared my love for Medium with my fiancé, and my best friend, , who had already been writing but hadn’t joined the MPP. I made them aware of this opportunity as well.
I also helped my brother, , sign up on Medium and begin his intellectual journey. He’s not part of MPP yet because I want him to pursue this hobby only if it suits him and he decides to continue.
Additionally, I’ve helped a couple of other friends enrol in MPP successfully, including . I won’t name them because I don’t have their consent. 😊
I’m so happy to have onboarded many writers and readers to Medium, making a positive difference in their lives, as well as on the platform.
