ADN Fine Arts Gallery Work in Progress

Our hardworking team is currently working on setting up a permanent fine arts gallery at Gross Flechtingen castle which was built around 1307 as a military fortress. As the significance of the fortress began to diminish at the beginning of the 15th century, it was rebuilt and subsequently re-named a ‘castle.’ The water castle remained in the possession of the aristocratic family von Schenk for more than 500 years until the land reform in 1945.

The gallery will be located in former stabling, right where gorgeous horses resided for many centuries before. Now it is slowly becoming home to the magnificent works of art painted by various talented artists.

We are also working towards replenishing our artwork collection which will be available for viewing and purchase on August 24, 2019 during our exhibition in Gross Bartensleiben castle. The viewing will be available for guests by invitation only. To learn more about the artwork click this link.
