Hyperledger Usage — ADN

Hyperledger usage for news is becoming mainstream, thanks to the New York Times’ new project. ADN is also contributing to a more secure crypto world.

Aside from allowing the creation of Bitcoin, blockchain technology is most popular for the creation of immutable series of blocks that protect the integrity of data and transactions stored in them. This feature has helped streamline the processes of different industries such as finance, supply chain, gaming, and more.

For similar reasons, we created ADN to protect blockchain in our unique way. Specifically, we aim to host secure and top-quality ICOs wherein developers will not just get money from investors; they will earn every coin invested in ICOs through worthwhile outputs.

However, the digital space is still rife with malicious elements that threaten the mass trust in cryptocurrencies and even blockchain technology. One phenomenon that we have noticed is the massive spread of fake news across social networking sites and other spaces. Thankfully, others have stepped up to the challenge and have even opted to Hyperledger usage, among other blockchain-based solutions.

The News Provenance Project

Amid the proliferation of fake news across different industries, The New York Times (NYT) recently announced that it will be fighting fake news through the use of blockchain technology. Named the News Provenance Project, the initiative is specifically created by the NYT’s News and Research & Development (R&D) Team through Hyperledger usage.

Specifically, the initiative uses Hyperledger Fabric, a permissioned distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform hosted by the Linux Foundation. The platform uses blockchain technology and container technology to allow the development of applications and solutions with a modular architecture.

This revelation shook the world for two reasons: (1) the NYT is the most reputable news organization in the world by virtue of having the most number of Pulitzer Prizes won; and (2) for fighting fake news, the NYT has decided to listen to what blockchain technology has to say.

The NYT wrote:

“All hype aside, blockchain offers mechanisms for sharing information between entities in ways we think are essential for establishing and maintaining [the] provenance of digital files. Specifically, data is stored to a blockchain is immutable, and copies of the database can be held by multiple parties.”

The project is expected to commence late 2019, and if the NYT succeeds in this initiative, the news organization will relay the technology to other media organizations so that they too may be armed well to put an end to this dark page in our digital history.

Fake News in Crypto

According to The Telegraph, fake news has become one of the biggest threats to democracy and free debate. In fact, it has become one of the dirty weapons that politicians have used to discredit their foes and win elections.

However, this threat extends to the crypto world as well.

In an experiment, crypto personality Anthony Pompliano tweeted a faulty math computation showing the possibility of owning a Bitcoin, to see how many people would actually retweet without doing proper research and computation. The fake news received 400 retweets and 88,281 impressions before he took it down.

As Pompliano observed from the experiment, the crypto world has a “high propensity” for fake news. This poses a great danger for ICOs specifically because of unnecessary fear, uncertainty, and distrust (FUD) that some fake news may instill in the hearts of ICO participants.

On the brighter side of things, numerous people called out the faulty math and the unnecessary comparison. This goes to show that a good number of people in the crypto community are doing their research and analytical homework.

An Ambitious Endeavor

The NYT is only one of the organizations that have come to embrace blockchain technology for all its worth. Due to the incorrigibility of the data transmitted across nodes in the blockchain, tampering and other data alteration will be virtually impossible.

With the NYT’s Hyperledge usage to empower the News Provenance Project, the reputable news organization may just succeed in stopping this evil machination. “This is an ambitious endeavor,” the NYT admits. “A successful outcome would eventually require the participation of a majority of the media ecosystem.”

ADN: A Brave and Innovative Solution for Secure ICOs

For the blockchain community, putting an end to fake news is only half of the equation. The community still struggles with substandard ICOs created by companies that are inefficient at best, and shady at worst.

ICOs have inadvertently become associated with scams and other illegal and criminal activities. Despite the good intentions of many ICO companies, somehow not all of the funding goes to the right ICOs. This is a problem that needs brave and innovative solutions.

ADN blockchain intends to provide the solution against fraud and other activities that haunt the blockchain sphere. We aim to conduct safe and successful ICOs with virtually no possibility of letting scammy companies get away with the hard-earned money of their investors. This we accomplish through our ICO wallet, among other top-tier security measures.

We have also partnered with DeepDive Technology to develop the ADN Mainnet. In our own unique ways, we will help the world see cryptocurrencies for what they’re really worth — they deserve nothing less than to be accepted as a legitimate payment method as much as fiat money does.

With the NYT’s recent Hyperledger usage, and with ADN’s ICO protective measures, the blockchain world will become a safer space for cultivating innovation and cooperation among different entities.
