To date, the 2020 Adobe Creative Cloud Donation Program has reached 100 organizations from 29 countries around the globe. TakingITGlobal, in partnership with Adobe, has provisioned shared device licenses to support these organizations in engaging 27,221 young creatives in their community though various creative digital media programs and projects.

“We are able to work with and teach programs to our teens that are not available in most of their schools. It has helped our youth with employability skills and has helped them better to transition into college/career.”

— South Street Youth Centre, Massachusetts, USA

Given current circumstances, both TakingITGlobal and Adobe are committed to supporting creative youth organizations with revamping their programming for virtual program delivery. Over the last three months, our tech team has been working closely with organization leaders to deploy Adobe Creative Cloud licenses to key media educators and young creatives from your organizations.

Furthermore, Adobe has created extra support for learning the Creative Cloud Suite while at home. With their student tutorials, you can discover a range of videos covering the basics for beginners to learning new tips and tricks for experts. With their Adobe Live platform you can join leading designers and artists every day of the week as they work on “real projects in real time”.

The TIG team has also started curating mini-instructional videos to support young creatives with their continued artistic learning and creative expression during this unique time. These videos comprise photography at home, using ordinary objects and the art of a self-portrait, to how to vectorize an image using Illustrator, to the process of creating a spoken word piece and can be found on our TakingITGlobal Youth Media YouTube channel.

The combination of these licences and creative virtual programs facilitated by these organizations has continued to provide the young creatives with the opportunity to learn and improve their skills. These young creatives are able to develop not only their technical, media making skills such as film/photo editing, audio mixing, animation, etc., but also their cognitive and social skills such as problem solving, leadership, commitment, cross-cultural collaboration, etc. for success in school, work, and life.

“Thanks to the licenses you all have provided, every student was able to work at their own computer (or with a partner if they chose). This means more of our students gaining confidence using the editing software, and that means more students with 21st-century artistic talents in the world!”
