New Features in Adobe Exchange, Including Lightroom CC Support

The Adobe Exchange team has been hard at work delivering lots of features you requested. Search filters, replies to reviews, Lightroom CC support and more are among our our latest updates that are available now.

Read on to learn more!

New Filters

Our first new feature is short and sweet, but has been frequently requested: search filters. With our new filters you can see free or paid products filtering by app, date, rating, popularity or alphabetical order.

Reply to Reviews

Developers can now reply to reviews from the Exchange Developer Portal

Your feedback can make a real impact on the future of the product. Ratings and reviews have been on Exchange for years, and we encourage everyone to write a review of products they acquire on Exchange.

Until now, developers couldn’t respond directly. In the new Exchange, when a user writes a review of a product, the developer gets an email. The developer can reply, and the user will get an email back.

Lightroom CC

We are delighted to welcome Lightroom CC to Exchange.

Hundreds of presets and profiles too!

Did you know that presets and profiles for Lightroom Classic work in Lightroom CC too? We now make make it possible for you to let users know this in Exchange by indicating that your presets are Lightroom CC compatible. Going forward, Exchange developers, please make sure you mark this compatibility when submitting your listing.

Everything but the kitchen sync!

But wait, there’s more! The presets you load in Lightroom CC on your computer will get synchronized and work on your iOS or Android devices too — automatically!

On the subject of synchronization, if you just got a shiny new computer, installed Creative Cloud, and wanted all your extensions from Adobe Exchange installed right away, all it takes is one click.

Go to My Exchange, then click on Sync Extensions, and all the extensions you have acquired from Exchange install to your CC powered computer — automatically!

One more thing; version numbers

Some of the products on Exchange were tied to a particular version of a Creative Cloud app such as Photoshop, even though they worked with the latest version. Now, where applicable, we have updated the compatibility to show it works with the current version of that CC app. For example, Swirling Ink Image, SliceNGap, Bamboo Brush, 18 Award Winning Actions and many more.

Let’s go!

Stay tuned! We have even more features planned for Exchange. If you’re a developer, you can submit your products to Exchange here.
