The Creative Cloud Developer’s Guide to Adobe MAX 2018

In case we haven’t mentioned it enough already: Adobe MAX 2018 is coming up next week! MAX is the creativity conference that brings together the world’s top creatives and best-in-the business experts to get inspired, learn skills, and play.

If you’re a developer, scripter, or a creative who codes, the Creative Cloud Developer Ecosystem has a few ways for you to experience the API side of the house during MAX, ranging from labs and talks to guided tours and meet-and-greets.

We hope to see you at one or more of these events at MAX! Read on for the list.

XD Plugin API Labs

Come create your first plugin at our XD Plugin API Labs.

We’ll conduct hands-on bring-your-own-device labs in small groups twice a day in the Pavilion (booth 441), with instruction from Adobe staff.

Space is limited. Visit our registration page to sign up!

“Getting Started with XD Plugins” session

Once you’ve grabbed your plugin lab spot, be sure to register for our “Getting Started with XD Plugins” session on Wednesday morning.

This session will be for a much larger group, where we’ll give you news and insight across the whole landscape of XD plugins and the APIs that power them.

To get the full story from both the user and developer perspective, you won’t want to miss this session. Sign up on the MAX scheduler.

Third-party integrations booth

We’ll have a booth dedicated to third-party integrations as part of the Adobe Make It Experience area. You’ll get to see how we’re connecting creative users to the awesome Creative Cloud integrations the developer community is already shipping.

We’re featuring XD plugins, CC flagship extensions, and external integrations. See our Spark page for the full list.

Come by and say hi to the developer ecosystem team members hosting the booth; we want to meet you!

XD Plugins Showcase

We’ll be offering a dedicated XD Plugins Showcase in booth 441 of the Pavilion. The showcase will include some of the first-ever XD plugins to ship to the public.

When you visit, you’ll be able to get guided tours directly from the plugin creators.

CC integrations in the Community Theater

Swing by the Community Theater to see some of our Creative Cloud developers share their user stories and showcase CC integrations that they have built.

XD plugins session

These XD plugin presenters will be in the Community Theater on Monday from 1:30 PM:

These are some of the first developers in the world to build with the XD plugin APIs, and are among the first expert developers in the community.

CC flagship app extensions sessions

Extension creators for CC flagship apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro will provide sessions at the following times.

Moleskine and Esri session, Monday from 11:30 AM:

Illustrator Erin Gallagher shows how to get that hand-drawn aesthetic using a Creative Cloud Connected Moleskine smart notebook to draw on paper, mirror to Adobe Illustrator in real-time, and save to CC libraries. Then Clint, a cartographer, will use Esri’s ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension in Illustrator to quickly create an old-school map, adding a unique hand-drawn aesthetic to their design collaboration.

HP session, Monday from 8 PM:

The agility of digital print is changing the way brands and designers are making the everyday unique. Let designers the Yarza Twins and Silas Amos share what they brought back from playing with the tech in award winning collaborations with brands, artists, and HP technology, and how you can get the most out of it.

Cinamaker session, Tuesday from 5 PM:

Join Benjamin Nowak, Founder of Cinamaker to learn about their solution for super agile multi-camera video production for Adobe Premiere.

Note that the only events listed here that require advance registration are the XD Plugin Labs and “Getting Started with XD Plugins” session.

We hope you’ll join us for one or more of these MAX events. We’re looking forward to meeting you.
