Hi Creative Cloud developers! If you’ve been following our progress on engaging and growing the Creative Cloud developer community and ecosystem over the last few years, you’ll have seen that our presence for the CC developer ecosystem at Adobe MAX has steadily expanded (take a look back at MAX 2018 and MAX 2017).
We’ll be doing even more at MAX this year to help users discover the value of the ecosystem, in addition to providing attendees with opportunities to learn about the APIs that power it.
Whether you’re creating plugins for Adobe XD, or building extensions and scripts for Creative Cloud flagship applications (and regardless of how long you’ve been doing it):
We’d love to meet you at Adobe MAX 2019. Below I’ll share how you can find us.
Pavilion: Emerging Tech Partners
We’re thrilled this year to host the Emerging Tech Partners pavilion. Where last year the pavilion focused on XD plugins, at MAX 2019 we’re going even bigger, showing off plugins and extensions for apps spanning across Creative Cloud.
At the Emerging Tech Partners pavilion, users can learn how to speed up their workflows with popular integrations for Creative Cloud applications like XD, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator from our third-party ecosystem. Meet the innovators, get demos, or learn how to use APIs to build your own integrations for custom workflows and automation.
No need to sign up: just swing by the Emerging Tech Partners pavilion (Booth 741) in the South Hall. Members from the CC Platform and Ecosystem team will be there throughout the event; come say hi!
API labs: Getting started with XD plugin APIs
We love helping people, creative professional and developer alike, get started with Adobe XD plugin APIs. Online, we aim to make the APIs approachable with resources like our Quick Start tutorial, an auto-generated starter project on the I/O Developer Console, and helpful API forums full of community experts and Adobe staff.
But sometimes it’s easiest to get started by sitting down with a small group to try it yourself with the help of an experienced guide.
To help you take those first steps, we’ll be bringing back our community API labs this year as part of the Emerging Tech Partners pavilion. We’ll offer 6 one-hour sessions in total, at 11am and 4pm each day of MAX.
Join us to get hands-on with the APIs, get your plugin questions answered, and meet the CC Developer Experience team, as well as experienced XD plugin creators.
The labs aren’t listed in the official MAX schedule or app. Instead, you can RSVP for the labs here. Please bring your own computer to participate, or you can just follow along.
Session: Supercharging your design workflow with XD plugins
Last year, among the audience were both launch-day plugin creators as well as curious users and developers who came to learn. Some of them even went on to ship their own XD plugins over the course of the last year!
We can’t wait to see who joins us this year, and we hope you’ll stick around to say hi to the team after the session.
Friendly reminder: Plugin submission deadline is October 16th
If you’re already building or shipping an XD plugin, note that the deadline is October 16th for any plugin updates that you want to have reviewed before MAX. (This deadline also applies to flagship CC extensibility products [extensions, scripts, plug-ins, etc] on Adobe Exchange.)
If there are any improvements, bug fixes, or listing changes you’d like to make to your XD plugin, now is a great time to work on them! Again, please be aware that all updates you want reviewed before MAX should be submitted to Adobe by October 16th.
We’re looking forward to seeing you at Adobe MAX!
