Work-life balance is the balancing act people do to make sure their work and life roles do not collide with each other. But, due to the increasing ability to work from home in various industries and increasing dependencies with respect to the experience earned in the company; employees tend to lose the work-life balance.

The increased responsibilities at work and longer working hours do bring a lot of stress and when you go back home and already have a responsibility of the family, things become tricky. While at this time, work from home has converted people’s homes into their offices and the thin line between work and family time has disappeared, managing becomes tough for everyone.

But, is it necessary to have a pre-defined 9 to 6 work hour and leaving your stress at the office. Modern work-life balance requires more than that. In this digitally connected world, everyone is spending more time on their screens and thus the balance gets destroyed.

At Adrixus Tech Studios, we started to work on our work-life balance a little differently. Yes, we do not follow the rigid 9 to 6 mindset nor do we keep people limited to what they can achieve in their daytime. Instead, we provide a complete work-from-home option to our team members and a flexible time to work with the projects. For us, getting the quality work done is the primary concern, not doing it in boundaries.

Many people cannot manage the work-life balance due to they keep procrastinating their daily tasks and then suddenly gets everything on the same day. We have adopted the best remote project management practices to make sure that this bottleneck does not happen.

Improving project management practices

Yes, this might sounds a bit off-track. But, improving work culture with project management practices would work in favour of making the work-life balance better for the team members in the organization. While all the organizations from small to large are forcefully adopting the digital transformation and remote work culture in their systems — remote workforce is also not robots.

Dealing with the team members has to be good enough that they do not feel any bad vibes. After all, a team member would work for the company for most of the time out of 24 hours of the day. This means that they would demand a better work environment and providing that would improve the work-life balance for all,

Learning new things

Sticking to the habit of continuously doing work would make people sick and mentally stressed. While the human brain is developed in a way that when we learn something new, we become happy. Thus, learning with working is a thing that young organization and freshly baked entrepreneurs are adopting.

Reading books, growing with online learning programs, helping each other and even being a part of a research team can help teammates grow together.

The most important thing to improve work-life balance is to make sure that the team do not end up getting stressed about their work. And thus learning and sharing help here. Eventually, the team’s personal growth would help the organization grow!

Giving your 100%

As discussed in this blog, when you give your 100% at home and at the workplace, you would not find yourself jiggling with the workload and family time adjustments. Many times, due to weak performance or lethargic management via seniors, everyone has to suffer the issues in the team.

Managing a performance team is the need of the hour and while doing that, leaders must ensure that within the work timelines, they get the things done perfectly without hindering the personal lives of team members.

Pushing the envelope

Never limit your team and organization to the deliverables only. A lot of entrepreneurs and business owners falls into a trap that they want their team to work from a particular place and at a particular time only. But, we have seen that work from home culture is growing with a tremendous amount of speed and the new normal is hitting everyone now.

Being rigid towards the old techniques of management and methods won’t help. Even at Adrixus Tech Studios, we follow a strategy of pushing ourselves and envelope further by competing with ourselves. From setting up good remote management practices to building process to gain confidence among the team members and making the work-life balance even better.

Work-life balance also depends on the open work environment and letting others put their views in the organization as well. With open work culture, people can feel more comfortable and secure in their teams. When people can express and share their view openly, they do not feel the organization as a claustrophobic place for them!

So, keep pushing your levels up and make your work environment better by generating trust and growing together!
