Here Are 6 Reasons Why People Are Not Subscribing To Your OnlyFans

There are many reasons you are not getting subscribers to your OnlyFans channel, and some may not be what you think. I spoke to a couple of creators who asked me, “Why don’t I have people subscribing to my content?”

I deduced they all had these things in common. If you’re struggling to get OnlyFans subscribers, you might be guilty of one of these too.

1. Your content is not on OnlyFans — or any other popular adult content subscription website.

When OnlyFans started in London, UK in 2016, it was geared towards safe-for-work content like behind-the-scenes content from influencers and celebrities.

Eventually, it blew up in popularity in 2020, going from a few sign-ups to 120 million registered users because homemade adult content creators found a home for their content without the fear of getting banned.

Today, OnlyFans has 240 million registered users and over 2 million content creators.

What’s my point? People already trust OnlyFans. A subscriber can follow multiple creators all on the same platform without the fear of their financial information getting stolen or hacked.

No one wants to put their credit card information into a random website they don’t trust.

Additionally, some website subscription services make it difficult to sign up. For example, Just For Fans makes it quite a hassle to navigate the platform and support creators.

Solution:

Unfortunately, OnlyFans is not available to all creators around the world, but here are alternatives you can try: Fansly, or become a content partner with major platforms like Pornhub or XVideos and get paid when people watch your content.

The traffic is already there; you don’t need to siphon any off Twitter or TikTok.

It’s a lot easier to make money on these major websites because Pornhub is the 6th most visited website in the world with up to 5 billion visitors in the last six months and up to 500 million visitors a month.

Bryshere is now on OnlyFans.

2. You don’t have a ton of content on your platform.

If anyone will part with their hard-earned money, they want a ton of value for it. No one will pay $5/month when you have only 10 videos and 20 images on your OnlyFans.

People consume thousands of pieces of content. It’s a lot of work, but you are running a business, after all.

I have a good sense of judging how active your OnlyFans page is just by looking at your activity on Twitter.

If you repost the same content every couple of days or sporadically, your OnlyFans account will not have much going on.

Solution:

Creating adult content is a business. You have to ensure you’re producing long-form content at least once a day on OnlyFans and sharing snippets to Twitter or Instagram.

Don’t just create 20 videos and keep reposting those, expecting people to pay $10/month for that. Pricing ties into my next point below.

3. Your subscription is expensive.

Unless you’re a celebrity turned porn star, I see no reason why you should be charging $20/month with 2000 followers on Twitter and just 20 videos on OnlyFans.

As a creator, it’s important to consider the economy and what people are willing to pay to see your content. You must ask, “How much will people be willing to pay for this content?”

Solution:

The sweet spot for your subscription cost should be between $3 — $5 if you have a few thousand to tens of thousands of followers on Twitter.

If you have hundreds of thousands to millions of followers, you can start your pricing from $8 to $15.

This means you’d have to work hard to keep people subscribed at that price.

4. Your content is not alluring enough.

Think of social media as a preview of what you’re offering. If people find your content too regular or boring, they will not subscribe to your OnlyFans.

Solution:

Try a variety of content as a creator, check the analytics, and double down on what works. If you post content of you jerking off in a room with the same background and the same angles, it will get boring fast. You can read my content ideas for adult content creators here.

5. You are not promoting your content on other platforms.

This ties into #2. I mentioned that if you’re posting consistently on Twitter, it is a tell-tale sign that you are not uploading enough content on OnlyFans. But what if you post consistently on Twitter but still have no subscribers?

Solution:

You might have to try other platforms like Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok, and see what other creators are doing. Yes, those other platforms do not allow NSFW content like Twitter, but there are ways around it.

6. You are not niched down.

People like different fetishes and kinks; pick one and create content around it. An example would be making content as a BBC slut, a throat goat, a bator, an exhibitionist, a sub or DOM, a bear, or a chub. The list is endless. When you create content, create it with a particular audience in mind.
